2-IKV-164  Multiagent Systems

Evaluation during the course: interim assessment of independent project

Concluding evaluation: final project assessment, exam

Subject aim: To provide knowledge about multiagent systems with emphasis on building systems with extremely complex behaviour and on modeling living systems

Brief curriculum of the subject:

Agent (narrower definition). Autonomness and mobility. Receptors, efectors, controller, sensors, actuators. Classifications of agents as reactive, deliberative and hybrid. Communicatin between agents: direct and indirect. Ontological problem and its solutions: XML a KIF.

Multiagent system (narrower definition). Communication and representation language. KQML.

Implementation of multigent systems. Classification into intelligent and software agents.

Multiagent system as middleware. Implementation on SRR model. Pyramidal architecture Client - Server. Architekture Agent-Space. Robustness, decentralization, normalization.

Deliberative and nondeliberative robotics. New artificial intelligence. Dekomposition by function and by activity. Subsumption architecture. PKA model.
